Country club members pledge improvement money - By Regina Purcell (Cody Enterprise)

Nearly $400,000 has been pledged by members of the Olive Glenn Golf and Country Club for much-needed improvements to the facility.

Built in the 1970s by the late Olive and Glenn Nielson, the 18-hole championship course was turned over to members in the mid-1980s, according to general manager Dave Snyder.

He said improvements to the property haven't kept up in recent years, so last spring members set a goal of raising $500,000.

The Olive Glenn Capital Improvement Committee was formed and Snyder said the first donation came in last summer.

He said members since have pledged $396,000 toward improvements.

"The financial condition of the club is fine,"

Snyder said.

"We haven't made any capital improvements in a number of years, but we're fortunate our members have stepped up."
