A professor of ecology, Stephen Jackson, at the University of Wyoming is calling upon the state to be an innovative leader in the development of technology to limit global warming. Wyoming can be the forerunner in the effort to protect the environment because of their wealth of renewable energy resources and the ability to use carbon dioxide sequestration, a process that keeps carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere. According to Jackson, reports indicate that as global warming's effects on Wyoming could be substantial, Wyoming has the opportunity to lead the region in developing this crucial technology to protect our environment.
